Pictures!

We have been super busy these past couple of weeks so here's a few pictures from our week...
Finished planting our little garden starts...
Mbaby showing me his rock he was chewing on...
C taking pics of his napkin sketches before he turns them in for a contest...
Makin' Organic Strawberry jam... no pectin no preservatives
 Roasting Almonds for almond butter...
 Yum!
This picture makes me laugh... alittle backwards eh?
Kiddos took over our pup's kennel
Mbaby LOVES to play in my "all things that don't know where else to put them" drawer... L2 thought she'd surprise him with alittle hello.
This pup is a SUPER laid back lad...
 and patient with the kiddos...
How sweet.

Enjoy your day!

Workin' hard to finish up our remodel... and daddy has 2 of the BEST little helpers:-)
MBaby tryin' to get the hammer
 Helpin' Daddy:-)
Today we went to a garden nursery to pick out some starts for our garden... with all the construction and men stomping in my garden area... haven't had a chance to plant anything... so we'll see how this belated planting goes:-)
Please tell me that the next 18 yrs are going to SLOW way DOWN!!! L2 is growing and growing everyday... and her little personality is just HILARIOUS... we love her to pieces!

We have been OBSESSED with the show Duck Dynasty and while we were at the farm a few weeks ago we caught a few frogs and lost a few:-( and ate them... kinda traumatic for me to see them croaking... then cooking. So for Father's Day I decided I'd give it another go except this time I was NOT going to see them ALIVE, so I bought some at the local grocery store ( yah they have em!) and a few days later than planned... I cooked 'em up today for lunch! Yum! They were delicious!

The last 3 months for Mgirl has been super... a lot of growth, some difficult times, a lot of happy times and always always surprises for her at lunch or dinner! Like today for instance:-) She's been a trooper and willing to jump in to our wild life's adventure:-)
 Happy Father's Day! (belated:-)
Not your typical kids lunch now is it? haha L2 said " mmm I like frog legs mama!" That's daddy's girl for ya!

Enjoy your warm weather!

Prayers

Our sincere prayers for the Jon Leman family in the loss of their sweet sweet Ruth Ann...
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also." John 14:1-3

May this confirmation from Christ be of a comfort knowing that the God who created the Heavens and the earth is REAL... and a place is waiting for those who have finished this race and fought the good fight. I pray peace and comfort surround this family in the days ahead...

Tongue Tacos!

Happy birthday to you.... happy birthday to you.... happy birthday to M... Happy birthday to you!
Tradition in our family is to go out to eat at the honored person's favorite restaurant or in this case... one's favorite meal. M requested a cheesecake bar and Cow tongue. Hmmm. Okay! And since M has been into hippies lately... we did a hippie theme with Beatles music in the back ground... it was a blast!

Enjoy the pics below... we had quite an adventure making this as you can see below:-)

The feeling of raw cow tongue is just flat creepy.
It was just wiggin' me out... as you could imagine!
But I love this girl as my own so.... here we go! Let's cook it up!
M and her siblings on her birthday.... very special.
Mama S to the Rescue! Last time I did a tongue my mom was here and did all the prep work... I was totally putting off the last step to eating this thing... peeling the tongue! Blah... as I was about to do it... in walks Mama S! YES! "what can I do to help?".... welll... hehe. Thanks to her hard work peeling the thing we enjoyed our luscious Tongue Tacos in Honor of M.
 Mbaby even liked it:-D
 Festive aren't we:-)
Hippie hair... and our flower girl!
Uncle L... you got nothing on me and my fedora! hehe:-D
 The girlies...
A night full of games... Started out fun and energetic ....
Then while we ladies hit the second game... our boys were all asleep.
Seriously. Our night ended and we literally had to gather up our boys for bed. Aren't they cute:-)

It was a wonderful blessing to share the evening with family that truly love this girl and I know that she felt the love of Jesus through them. What a beautiful example of adoption through Christ!

Enjoy your day!
